As per reports, INDIA bloc has offered Deputy Prime Minister post to JDU's Nitish Kumar.
INDIA alliance has prepared to offer key positions to lure two NDA partners, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Janata Dal (United) (JDU). The potential offer includes the post of Deputy Prime Minister for Nitish Kumar and special status for Andhra Pradesh, according to sources.
BJP is coming out as the single largest party, to cross the 272 Lok Sabha seat mark only with allies. Although the INDIA bloc is unlikely to reach the magic figure of 272 seats, a strategic combination could still propel the Congress-led alliance to the government formation at the Centre.
Although, experts suggest that such a move is not predictable this early as final numbers are yet to be out. Also, such an easy allocation of post to Nitish will anger key members of INDIA alliance and might backfire.
